The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) – Skilled Workers

The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program is an immigration program established by the Government of New Brunswick to create an efficient selection process for those who intend to relocate to the province and contribute to the local economy.

In order to be an Eligible New Brunswick Skilled Workers Nominee, it is required that applicants have a guaranteed employment off or family supporter located in New Brunswick. Applicants may apply to the NBPNP through two streams.

Skilled Worker with Employer Support

Requirements:

  • Must be 22-53 years of age upon application;
  • Must score at least 50 points based on a self-assessment;
  • Present evidence or proof that the applicant will be residing in New Brunswick permanently;
  • Must have been offered a valid job offer from an employer in New Brunswick OR already be employed by a company in New Brunswick included in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill level O, A, C, or D;
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent

 Skilled Worker with Family Support

Requirements:

  • Must be 22-50 years of age upon application;
  • Must have a close relative who can act as a Family Supporter;
  • Be able to demonstrate sufficient language ability in English and/or French;
  • Present evidence or proof of permanent stay in New Brunswick;
  • Acquire 2 years of previous work experience in the past 5 years in the field of the intended occupation of New Brunswick (proposed position must be included in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill level O, A, B, C, Category 1,3,7,8,9 or D, Category 1,3,7,8,9);
  • Receive applicable education, training and experience necessary to be successful in the intended occupational tasks and responsibilities

The Family Supporter will also be assessed on their ability to commit to the immigration process by aiding in the family member’s successful relocation to New Brunswick. The Family Supporter will also be assessed on their connection to the province.

Requirements for the Family Supporter:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  • Must be living in New Brunswick full-time;
  • Must be a close relative to the applicant;
  • Must be financially stable and self-supporting as a result of an occupation
